We are back for the last recipe of the “Winter Food Recipes Series” and as we a finishing our series (for now!), we decided to help you to end your Christmas Dinner with a nice and sweet dessert, because in the end of the day, one of the reasons that we all love Christmas is the food. Today’s recipe can be a little bit challenging but once you make it, you can show off your cookery skills for friends because they going to love it. Ok, so what is this amazing challenging recipe?! Panettone! But, it won’t be a simple Panettone,  we are talking about a Panettone with chocolate bits inside, a Chocotone!

For the ones that don’t know what I am writing about, Panettone is an Italian type of sweet bread is usually enjoyed during Christmas and New year in a lot of parts of the world. It usually has pieces of fruit inside, but because Muchachos like to give you the best side of every food, we are preparing it with chocolate. So, let’s do it!

How many people can eat?
Christmas is about sharing so we would say 4 people

What do you need?

360 ml of water
1 egg
4 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon of salt
8 tablespoons of crystal sugar
2 teaspoons of panettone essence (you can substitute for Vanilla extract)
2 tablespoons whole milk powder
1 tablespoon of baking powder
4 teacups of wheat flour
2 teacups of Milk Chocolate Chips

Let’s Cook it!

With a mixer in a bowl, blend the water, egg, margarine, salt, sugar, essence and milk powder until its well mixed. Add the baking powder and beat for 10 minutes. While the mixer is still on, add half the flour slowly until smooth. Stop the mixer and add the remaining flour and the chocolate chips. Knead the dough until elastic, divide into 3 portions and place in a Panettone tins (if you don’t have one you can use normal cake tin). Leave the dough to rest until it volumes doubles. Bake in a medium oven (180 ° C), preheated, for about 30 minutes or until, by prying a toothpick, it comes out clean. Remove and let cool on a rack.

I hope with our recipes you have a more nice and tasty Christmas!
*Merry Christmas!*
